Derby Day Party Planned at The Pier & Back Porch Restaurant & Bar at Oakwood Resort
Syracuse, IN - April 13, 2018 - Trip Advisor® Certificate of Excellence winner, Oakwood Resort announces their 5th Annual Derby Day Party at The Pier & Back Porch Restaurant & Bar. Saturday, May 5, 2018. Beginning at 2:00pm until 6:00pm, enjoy counting down to the greatest 2 minutes in sports! The talented and professional culinary team at The Pier and Back Porch Restaurant & Bar has created a special menu for the event that features Burgoo Stew, Kentucky Hot Browns, Southern Gentleman Sliders with smoked pulled pork and unique drink specials that include such race day favorites as Mint Juleps and Oaks Lily’s.
The Pier staff will also be awarding prizes for the Best Dressed Guest and Best Derby Hat. Guests attending this special event can also participate in a corn hole competition and enjoy the Chicago based “Stoned Bluez Band”. The band will provide live entertainment featuring soulful blues and a bit of jazz music from 7:00pm until 10:00pm.
“Our Derby Day Party is always a fun and festive event,” said Director of Food and Beverage, Aaron Smith. “We always enjoy creating special memories with and for our guests.”
