Child And Parent Services Unveils New Mascot
Child And Parent Services Unveils New Mascot |
ELKHART (May 7, 2019) – Child And Parent Services (CAPS) unveiled a new superhero at their annual Superhero 5K. Their new mascot, Cappy, is a six-foot honey-brown bear with freckles and glasses, designed deliberately to give him a playful, kid-like appearance. He is a fantastic dancer, despite his awkwardly large red sneakers.
Captain America (Allen Stewart from Hall of Heroes) introduced the new CAPS team member at the Superhero 5K to more than 600 participants. Cappy helped judge the costume contest, cheered and high-fived runners and handed out medals to winners. He took time to pose for selfies and even displayed his mad skills playing corn hole.
Cappy’s official duty is to assume an active role in embracing the CAPS’ outreach initiatives in the Elkhart Community —a fun-loving role that fits his skill set perfectly. |

The CAPS mission is to ensure that every child lives a life free from abuse and neglect. CAPS accomplishes this through education, advocacy and intervention with families and the community to support safe, stable, nurturing relationships for all children. |
